Job Details
Position: Power Studies Engineer
What You'll Do
Provide electrical engineering design, analysis, and power system studies for domestic and international projects.
Conduct short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies.
Perform power factor analysis and correction, harmonic modeling and analysis, and grounding studies.
Interact with customers to gather critical project information and review engineering plans.
Occasionally support field activities under the direction of field services teams, including shutdown, startup, and maintenance projects.
Collaborate with engineering and field teams to develop practical, reliable solutions for complex electrical systems.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
Educational focus in Power Systems is preferred.
Experience with short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, and power quality studies is preferred.
Experience using power system modeling and analysis software such as SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EZPower, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical systems, including systems up to 500 kV.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability and confidence to communicate directly with customers and colleagues.
Field experience with substations or switchgear is highly desirable.
Utility design experience is a plus.
Willingness and availability to travel domestically and internationally on occasion is a plus.

You enjoy analyzing complex electrical systems, communicating your findings clearly, and working collaboratively with both engineering and field teams.
