Summary

Position: Lead Java / Python Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Duration: 12+ months contract

Job Description:
We are seeking a Lead Java/Python Developer to design and implement automation workflows, intelligent search capabilities, and API-driven service orchestration systems. This role will focus on building scalable back-office automation solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Python, and semantic search technologies.

Required Skills

Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot
Expertise in RESTful API development
Solid experience with Python (data processing, automation, NLP libraries)
Experience with MCP Server or agent orchesation platforms
Knowledge of Semantic Search / NLP-based search systems
Experience building or maintaining Rule-Based Search / Rules Engines
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms
Strong understanding of JSON, XML, and API integrations

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Workflow Development

Develop and maintain back-office automation workflows for high-volume service requests.
Build a Service Request Intake System for request and document registration.
Design and manage agent-based processing buckets to:
- Extract and enrich request metadata
- Invoke validation agents via orchestration layers
- Integrate with downstream processing systems
Develop metadata extraction pipelines using Java or Python.

Search & Intelligence

Implement Semantic Search solutions to interpret and match unstructured text.
Apply NLP techniques to improve automation accuracy.
Develop and maintain rule-based search logic and configurable rules engines.
Support business rule validation and exception handling workflows.

API & System Integration

Develop RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
Integrate internal and external systems via APIs and event-driven architectures.
Ensure reliable service orchestration across systems.

Agent Orchestration

Utilize MCP Server (or similar) to orchestrate and monitor agent workflows.
Design synchronous and asynchronous processing models.
Implement retry and fallback mechanisms for failed automation runs.
