Job Description:Baker Tilly is hiring an AI Platform, Solutions and Governance, Managing Director. Baker Tilly is seeking a senior leader to help shape the next evolution of our Managed Services platform through artificial intelligence, solution design and governance. This role will lead the strategy, development and scaling of AI-enabled capabilities across finance, HR and application support, ensuring they are embedded into delivery in a practical, governed and commercially relevant way.
This leader will operate at the intersection of platform strategy, client solutioning, operating model design, and responsible AI governance. The role is designed for an executive who understands how to move AI from concept to scaled execution, while maintaining strong controls, clear accountability and measurable business value. The position aligns closely with Baker Tilly's managed services direction of combining specialized talent, seamless execution, embedded AI and data, and an agile operating model.
ResponsibilitiesThe Managing Director, AI Platform, Solutions and Governance will:
- Define and lead the AI strategy and roadmap for Baker Tilly's Managed Services platform across finance, HR and application support
- Identify, prioritize and develop AI-enabled solutions that improve execution, strengthen controls, increase insight and create repeatable client value
- Design scalable solution offerings, accelerators and platform capabilities that can be deployed consistently across managed services engagements
- Partner with service line, digital, transition and delivery leaders to embed AI into live workflows and operating models
- Establish and oversee governance frameworks for AI usage, including risk management, data controls, model oversight, human review, testing standards and ongoing monitoring
- Ensure AI capabilities are designed to operate effectively in control-sensitive environments, particularly within accounting, finance, HR and enterprise applications
- Create standards for responsible AI, solution architecture, workflow integration and platform scalability
- Work closely with business and technology leaders to align AI investments to client demand, delivery priorities and strategic platform needs
- Support the development of client-specific and market-facing AI value propositions, business cases and go-to-market materials
- Serve as a senior advisor to internal leadership and clients on AI operating model design, governance and execution at scale
- Build a disciplined pilot-to-scale approach that translates innovation into durable managed services capabilities
- Help define the talent, partner and enablement model needed to support long-term AI adoption across the platform

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 12+ years of experience in AI, digital transformation, enterprise platforms, managed services or consulting
- Demonstrated success designing and scaling AI or automation solutions across finance, accounting, HR or enterprise operations
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes and HR service delivery models
- Experience with ERP, HCM and enterprise workflow/service management ecosystems
- Background in managed services, outsourcing or platform-enabled global delivery models
- Proven ability to build repeatable offerings and establish governance, controls and risk management for AI
- Ability to embed AI into operational workflows and service delivery models
- Strong commercial acumen, executive presence and stakeholder influence skills
- Experience operating in regulated or control-oriented environments preferred
- The pay rate range for this job position is $182,150 - $345,330. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements, and geographic location.
