Senior SAP ABAP / Fiori / UI5 Developer (Hands-On)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly hands-on Senior SAP ABAP / Fiori / UI5 Developer to support complex SAP S/4HANA initiatives for a leading automotive enterprise.

This role requires a strong technical contributor who can design, build, optimize, and troubleshoot modern SAP solutions across ABAP, Fiori, and SAPUI5 layers. The ideal candidate is deeply technical, solution-oriented, and comfortable owning development from architecture through deployment.

This is not a coordination or advisory role — we are looking for a developer who actively codes, debugs, optimizes, and delivers high-performance enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex solutions using Modern ABAP on S/4HANA

• Build and enhance SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5

• Develop OData services and REST-based APIs

• Create and optimize CDS views for performance and scalability

• Implement RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) solutions

• Perform performance tuning and advanced debugging

• Develop enhancements, BADI implementations, and custom frameworks

• Work closely with functional teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Support integration with external systems

• Ensure clean-core aligned development practices

• Participate in code reviews and enforce development best practices

Required Technical Skills

• 8+ years strong ABAP development experience

• 3+ years S/4HANA hands-on experience

• Deep expertise in:

  • Object-Oriented ABAP

  • CDS Views

  • AMDP

  • Performance tuning

  • ALV / ALV IDA

• Strong hands-on SAP Fiori & SAPUI5 development

• Experience building custom Fiori Elements applications

• OData (V2/V4) and SAP Gateway development

• Experience with Eclipse/ADT and SAP Business Application Studio

• Strong debugging and optimization skills

• Integration experience using REST, IDoc, RFC, BAPI

Preferred Qualifications

• RAP development experience

• SAP BTP exposure

• Automotive industry experience

• Experience with Git / gCTS

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments

• Clean Core development knowledge
