THIS IS NOT A NETWORK ENGINEER FOR IT. This is a LAB RADIO FEATURE TESTER dealing with MIMO, 5G/4G technologies. NOT someone driving around testing in the field, but in a lab.

Feature tester; main resp testing features; could be HW/SW once they get features understand them, config, testing, preparing test reports for customers. Need to know tools, post processing, mainly lab role, will also work on production, making config changes on live prod notes. Mainly feature testing to support team, once assigned, will run with, understand, config, test and troubleshoot. Will troubleshoot where failing, RCA, get it tested. Collab with team, support design for features, work with PM's if there's any issues found in customer network, will have to reproduce in lab, traces, log for further on. Need strong communicator. Tools; SA (4/5G), NSA (LTE), RF background Multiple carriers, need to know RAN, call floor, how does call go through ran to core, which RAN elements to look at. Have to understand Layer 1-3 traces, how to collect, how to analyze. EPS fallback. These candidates should know 3GPT standards and features. Need to have end to end understanding of features. Ericsson background very appreciated. Top candidates will have that. Nokia and Samsung are OK. Will be working without much or any documentation. UE handset QXDM, QCAD, XCAP, XCAL, Wireshark.
Ideal; get going good RAN competence, not any space for coaching and getting onboard, understand latest tech and features, troubleshooting hands on not high level, person being a proactive leader driving things.
10 year experience is fine, at least 5 years.

Position: Network Engineer Feature Tester.

Job Description:
We are the Products and Services Readiness team within North America. We lead testing and introduction of new Radio technology for North American telecom operators.
We are currently looking for a Network Engineer who will perform the role of a Feature Test Engineer.

As a Feature Test Engineer, you will work in Ericsson radio lab and gain familiarity with the Ericsson radio products (SW and HW) through product testing, as well as with the Ericsson product acceptance process for our large customer T-Mobile. You will be exposed to the latest radio products that will be rolled out in our biggest customer network. The goal is to validate the functionality of the latest Radio Products and to find and correct as many faults as possible, prior to rolling out the product network wide. As part of your work, you will be interacting with various Ericsson organizations such as development unit, customer units, but also directly with the customers.
You may also be asked to work on automation projects that aim to improve and accelerate the testing process.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform integration, certification, and implementation of 4G LTE/5G technology into customers' lab facilities and first market application(s).
Demonstration of new functionality, and SW/HW capabilities.
Perform proof of concept with customers for pre-commercial products and next generation Radio access technology equipment.
Support Ericsson NPI project, involving integration, configuration, features and functionalities, troubleshooting, inconsistences, and testing on roadmap portfolio Ericsson for BBU (baseband units), and Radios on different technologies/bands operation.
Resolve technical issues and serve as point of contact towards the Customer Project Manager (CPM), customer, and the EU throughout the project.
Participate in lab testing, working closely with the delivery manager and customer to define the scope of work, resource plan and timeline.
Execute Test Object List (TOL).
Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve technical problems in existing networks.
Prepare and present reports for customer acceptance.
