Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Web Portals Engineering team and contribute to new product development, application architecture, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, React, and Kubernetes, with the ability to work across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and production support.

This role involves developing and enhancing customer-facing web portals while supporting the organization's ongoing migration from OpenStack to Kubernetes. The successful candidate will work across front-end development, back-end services, database integration, platform engineering, and deployment activities.

We are looking for an engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals, architectural thinking, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset who can collaborate effectively across engineering and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applications using React, Java 21, and Spring Boot.
• Build responsive, scalable, and maintainable front-end applications and reusable UI components using React.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and back-end services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design, implement, and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and data integrations.
• Support the migration of applications and services from OpenStack to Kubernetes.
• Assist with Kubernetes-based application deployment, configuration, orchestration, and platform optimization.
• Contribute to containerization, deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions, solution design, technical planning, and technology evaluations.
• Provide recommendations for Kubernetes adoption, infrastructure modernization, and application deployment strategies.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams to deliver new features and products.
• Troubleshoot application, database, deployment, and infrastructure issues across development and production environments.
• Take ownership of technical components throughout the software development lifecycle, from design through deployment.
• Work across multiple internal customer-facing portals and rotate responsibilities to develop a broader understanding of the platform.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, scalability, security, and performance.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java 21 and Spring Boot for back-end application development.
• Strong experience developing front-end applications using React.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, including application deployment, configuration, orchestration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and microservices.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL queries, database design, and performance optimization.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or equivalent tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, deployment automation, and infrastructure management.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and design principles.
• Experience participating in application architecture, solution design, and technical decision-making.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across application and infrastructure layers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a commercial product development environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, particularly alongside Kubernetes.
• Exposure to OpenStack or cloud infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Experience with Kubernetes migration projects or transitioning applications to containerized environments.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and scalable application design.
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, monitoring, logging, and application performance optimization.
• Strong customer focus and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
