Summary

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position will be responsible for assisting the Engineering Manager in leading a team of maintenance personnel to provide service to owners and guests in the upkeep and maintenance of resort grounds, villas and assets. This individual will participate in the training and supervision of their team. They will provide direct supervision of maintenance teams to assure proper response to requests for service including planned and preventative maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Supervise work assignments, response and problem resolution, provide technical support to all maintenance personnel.
  • Directs and assists maintenance techs with maintenance of buildings, vehicles, and keeping equipment in safe and operable condition.
  • Follows and coaches' maintenance techs in the adherence to guidelines set forth in the employee handbook and brand standards and makes responsible decisions based upon these guidelines.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve concerns as it relates to the upkeep and maintenance of the villas and grounds.
  • Implement and facilitate skills training for assigned teams.
  • Assist in controlling department budgetary expenditures.
  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the Manager of Facilities Ops or General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and organization
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written standard operating procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • Ability to operate all maintenance and grounds machinery

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma / GED
  • Preferred 2 years of experience in a leadership role

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Facilities Certification CEOE, IFMA, or FMA are desired
