Job Title: Azure integration Developer
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Azure Integration Developer to design, develop, and support cloud-based integrations between SAP or other ERP platforms and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise across the Azure integration stack, particularly Azure API Management (APIM), Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Azure Data Factory (ADF), and experience building secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop integrations using:
Azure API Management (APIM)
Azure Logic Apps
Azure Service Bus
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Build and manage REST APIs, event-driven integrations, messaging, and batch/data integrations.
Develop integrations between SAP/ERP systems and MES platforms, supporting manufacturing and shop-floor business processes.
Work with SAP integration mechanisms such as IDocs, BAPIs/RFCs, OData, REST APIs, and file-based interfaces, as applicable.
Implement asynchronous integration patterns using Service Bus queues/topics, including retry, dead-letter handling, and error recovery.
Configure APIM policies for authentication, authorization, routing, transformation, throttling, logging, and API security.
Develop Logic Apps for workflow orchestration and application integration.
Build ADF pipelines for batch and data movement requirements.
Implement monitoring, exception handling, logging, alerting, and operational support for integration services.
Collaborate with ERP, MES, manufacturing, infrastructure, security, and application teams to translate integration requirements into technical solutions.
Support CI/CD and deployment of Azure integration components across development, test, and production environments.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services.
Strong experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
Hands-on development experience with Azure Logic Apps.
Experience with Azure Service Bus, including queues, topics/subscriptions, and dead-letter processing.
Experience developing Azure Data Factory pipelines.
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, certificates, and API security.
Experience integrating SAP or another enterprise ERP with an MES platform.
Understanding of synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, and batch integration patterns.
Strong troubleshooting and production support skills for enterprise integrations.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Azure Functions and Event Grid.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC integrations.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and MES integration patterns.
Experience with MES solutions such as DELMIA, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, or similar platforms.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
Familiarity with monitoring using Application Insights and Log Analytics.
Experience
5+ years of application/integration development experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure integration technologies preferred.
At least one implementation involving ERP-to-MES or manufacturing-system integration strongly preferred.
Key Profile We Are Looking For
A hands-on integration developer, not just an architect, who can independently build and troubleshoot Azure integrations and has practical experience connecting ERP/SAP and MES/manufacturing platforms. The candidate should be comfortable working in a complex enterprise environment where the Azure integration platform may need to be designed, established, and scaled from the ground up.
