Role Overview
This position is for an experienced Fidessa developer to support institutional and retail equities trading desks. The role involves developing, enhancing, and supporting multiple production trading applications built on the Fidessa trading platform. A successful candidate will have hands-on Fidessa implementation experience, in-depth knowledge of the Fidessa architecture and frameworks, and a proven track record of performing product upgrades with complex onsite customizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support multiple Fidessa trading systems.
- Integrate Fidessa systems into the organization's technology stack.
- Upgrade product components regularly to keep up with the latest updates.
- Work with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and other developers to satisfy business and regulatory requirements.
- Onboard systems to DevOps CI/CD tools.
- Multi-task and work on multiple projects in parallel.
- Take ownership as a pro-active individual with a strong interest to learn the business.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
Experience: 3+ years of Fidessa server-side development experience and front-office development experience. A comprehensive understanding of equities trading workflows and general equities market knowledge is required.
Technical Skills:- Fidessa Product Suite: CASE, FBL, TOP (OMAR, TMAR, PMAC), PAIRS, NMS, FIX+, APAS, FDA.
- FIX protocol.
- TCL and Unix shell scripting.
- Platforms: Linux, Windows 10.
- Agile SDLC methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of core Java development experience.
- Hands-on FDA and Sybase experience.
- FTW development experience is a strong plus.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $63.00 and $68.26 per hour. Benefits are available to eligible employees.
