Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior API & Integration Engineer with extensive expertise in enterprise API management, middleware integration, and cloud-native integration platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with MuleSoft, TIBCO, Apigee, IBM API Connect, Boomi, webMethods, Red Hat Fuse, Oracle Integration Cloud, Azure Integration Services, or similar enterprise integration technologies.
The candidate must have strong Banking/Financial Services experience, having worked on large-scale, long-term financial transformation projects, delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade API and integration solutions using leading middleware and integration platforms.
Design enterprise integration patterns including REST APIs, SOAP services, event-driven architecture, messaging, file transfer (MFT), and microservices.
Build scalable, secure APIs and reusable integration services.
Develop integrations with enterprise applications, cloud services, databases, and third-party systems.
Implement enterprise API security using OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, API Keys, and Identity & Access Management best practices.
Design highly available and scalable integration platforms using Kubernetes, Docker, and container technologies.
Develop reusable connectors, orchestration services, retry mechanisms, exception handling, and monitoring solutions.
Implement API governance, API lifecycle management, versioning, throttling, security policies, and developer portals.
Troubleshoot complex production issues involving APIs, middleware, networking, and backend systems.
Create Technical Design Documents (TDD), Solution Design Documents (SDD), and Technology Impact Assessments (TIA).
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Business, and Vendor teams to deliver enterprise integration solutions.
Required Skills
10+ years of enterprise API & Integration experience.
Hands-on experience with MuleSoft, TIBCO, Apigee, IBM API Connect, Boomi, webMethods, Red Hat Fuse, Oracle Integration Cloud, Azure Integration Services, or similar platforms.
Strong experience designing enterprise API architectures and integration solutions.
Extensive experience with REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, GraphQL, Microservices, API Gateways, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and cloud-native deployment.
Experience implementing OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, SAML, and API security best practices.
Hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, JMS, and enterprise messaging.
Experience with SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, NoSQL, and distributed systems.
Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, LogicMonitor, or similar observability tools.
Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Maven, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, etc.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Mandatory Domain Experience
Extensive Banking/Financial Services experience is mandatory.
Experience supporting enterprise banking applications, payment systems, digital banking, lending, treasury, wealth management, regulatory reporting, or financial integration platforms.
Proven experience working on long-term enterprise financial transformation programs.
Strong understanding of enterprise security, compliance, API governance, and integration best practices in regulated financial environments.
