Senior Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Maryland Heights, MO that is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to support a complex enterprise portfolio focused on credit and fraud initiatives.

Summary:
This role will lead multiple concurrent IT application development projects, managing strategic roadmaps, execution plans, and cross-team dependencies across several technical teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically fluent, and experienced in driving large-scale programs from planning through delivery within fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:
* Manage 4-5 concurrent technical projects within a critical enterprise portfolio, overseeing strategy, planning, and execution
* Develop and maintain high-level roadmaps, detailed project plans, timelines, and delivery milestones
* Coordinate work across multiple technical teams, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, testing plans, and deployment activities
* Track and manage complex interdependencies across projects, proactively identifying impacts between teams and releases
* Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering, product, and business teams
* Drive risk identification, issue management, escalation processes, and mitigation strategies at both project and program levels
* Present project updates, risks, and progress to senior leadership, including VP-level stakeholders
* Work closely with other project managers to align planning efforts and ensure consistency across initiatives
* Support both Agile and Waterfall delivery models, adapting to team-specific methodologies while maintaining program alignment
* Maintain strong governance, documentation, and reporting standards
* Navigate organizational change, resolve conflicts, and manage challenging conversations to keep projects on track

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of project or program management experience within technical or IT environments
* Proven experience managing application development projects from initiation through delivery
* Strong technical fluency, including understanding APIs, web services, and common technical architecture concepts
* Demonstrated experience managing complex dependencies across multiple teams and initiatives
* Advanced experience building and managing project plans, roadmaps, and Gantt charts
* Proficiency with MS Project
* Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
* Experience presenting independently to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
* Strong organizational skills, professionalism, and political awareness
* Ability to operate as a self-starter and drive outcomes in ambiguous environments

Preferred Skills:
* Experience with Jira and Smartsheet
* Telecommunications industry experience
* Experience managing large-scale enterprise programs with high visibility and critical business impact

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
