Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Bolingbrook, IL that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Design, architect, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications using C#, .NET, Blazor, and SQL Server
* Lead the technical design and implementation of complex features, ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable, and scalable
* Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and translate them into technical solutions
* Design, develop, and optimize REST and SOAP APIs and integrations with internal and external enterprise systems
* Drive application architecture decisions, technology evaluations, and adoption of engineering best practices
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects, performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and production incidents
* Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and ensure adherence to software engineering best practices
* Mentor and guide junior engineers through technical coaching, design reviews, and knowledge sharing
* Participate in Agile planning, estimation, and execution while providing technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle
* Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and operational procedures
* Continuously identify opportunities for application modernization, performance improvements, and process optimization

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of professional software development experience using C# and .NET
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, performance tuning, indexing strategies, stored procedures, and query optimization
* 1+ years of experience designing and developing modern web applications using Blazor, React, or similar front-end frameworks
* Extensive experience designing, developing, securing, and supporting RESTful APIs and distributed system integrations
* Strong proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end development practices
* Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, SOLID principles, secure coding practices, and software architecture
* Experience designing scalable, high-performance, and resilient enterprise applications
* Strong experience with Git, branching strategies, code review processes, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
* Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence architectural decisions across teams
* Experience troubleshooting complex production issues and driving root-cause analysis
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to balance multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
* Microsoft Azure and/or AWS certifications are a plus
* Experience designing and building cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
* Strong knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
* Experience with Entity Framework, ORM frameworks, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and modern CI/CD pipelines

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
