The Failure Analysis team at Marvell owns the entire Failure Analysis (FA) process for both customer returns and internal qualification and production support. This team works closely with internal cross-functional teams and external vendors to perform root cause analysis and drive necessary corrective and preventive actions.

What You Can Expect
  • Support failure analysis inspection tasks (optical, IR, X-ray, SAM)
  • Rework on customer returns with die removal, package reconditioning and reball
  • Perform backside milling for 2.5D/3D packaging sample preparation using CNC milling tools
  • Prepare KGD samples with PCB removal for ATE testing
  • Provide timely updates and summary reports on analysis results

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 3-5 years of related professional experience. Master's degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 2-3 years of experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience using Allied X-prep or Ultra Tec ASAP tools
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter and creates solutions with flexibility adjusting to changing priorities.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive for root cause analysis

Nice-to-haves
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical polishing, micro probing, CSAM and 3D X-ray
  • Experience with basic electrical tools and methods such as Digital Multi-meter (DMM), Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies.
  • Familiar with physical failure analysis techniques such as thermal emission and photon emission.

  • Experience with 8D Problem solving

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
96,830 - 145,000, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
