Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ApplinX Web Developer to support the maintenance and modernization of legacy applications using ApplinX web development technologies.

The selected consultant will maintain existing ApplinX solutions, implement limited enhancements, collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, perform testing and implementation, troubleshoot production issues, and provide knowledge transfer to internal technical staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ApplinX Version 11+, Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SOAP/REST, Linux, Adabas, and Agile development.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance ApplinX-based web applications.
• Support legacy application modernization initiatives.
• Configure and maintain ApplinX servers, Designer environments, applications, web applications, and NATAPX hosts.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work directly with customers and business stakeholders to gather and formulate requirements.
• Develop, test, debug, and implement application changes.
• Perform application QA and functional testing.
• Troubleshoot technical and production issues.
• Develop and support web services and application integrations.
• Work within Agile development environments.
• Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and well-performing.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with technical teams throughout development and implementation.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of Java development experience.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ApplinX solutions.
• Experience with ApplinX Version 11 or later.
• Advanced experience with JSP and web services.
• Advanced experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Strong knowledge of SOAP/REST web services and integration.
• Intermediate experience with Linux RHEL 8.10.
• Intermediate experience with Adabas.
• Advanced application QA/testing experience.
• Strong programming experience with Java and/or Microsoft .NET.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
