TrustedLink iSeries (TLI) EDI Developer / Consultant –  Contract

Remedi Electronic Commerce Group is seeking an experienced TrustedLink iSeries (TLI) EDI Developer / Consultant for a remote consulting engagement supporting a U.S.-based manufacturing organization. This opportunity focuses on hands-on EDI development, trading partner onboarding, and integration with JD Edwards World.

The Challenge

Our client operates an established TrustedLink iSeries environment integrated with JD Edwards World and is experiencing a backlog of EDI development and trading partner onboarding projects.

While the client's existing team manages daily EDI operations, additional development expertise is needed to accelerate partner implementations, complete mapping requirements, and support ongoing business initiatives.

The environment includes a customized TrustedLink configuration supporting separate JD Edwards World test and production systems. The consultant will work closely with an existing developer to understand these configurations and become productive quickly.

This is a hands-on EDI development engagement, not a general EDI operations or production monitoring position.

The Work

• Develop, modify, and test EDI mappings within TrustedLink iSeries (TLI).

• Support new trading partner onboarding, including mapping, configuration, testing, and implementation.

• Develop and maintain ANSI X12 transactions, primarily 850, 855, 856, and 810.

• Support additional transaction types, including 844 and 849, as needed.

• Map and integrate inbound and outbound EDI transactions with JD Edwards World.

• Troubleshoot mapping errors, transaction failures, and integration issues.

• Work within the client's customized TrustedLink test and production environment.

• Coordinate EDI testing with internal teams and external trading partners.

• Collaborate with the existing TrustedLink developer to understand established processes and configurations.

• Provide technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and cross-training to internal team members as needed.

• Support multiple EDI development and onboarding initiatives while maintaining project priorities and delivery timelines.

The Outcome

The successful consultant will help reduce the client's EDI development backlog, accelerate trading partner onboarding, and deliver reliable EDI mappings and integrations between TrustedLink iSeries and JD Edwards World.

The engagement will also strengthen the client's internal technical capabilities through collaboration, documentation, and knowledge transfer while maintaining support for its existing EDI environment.

The Ideal Consultant

• Extensive hands-on experience with TrustedLink iSeries (TLI) EDI development and mapping.

• Strong working knowledge of JD Edwards World and its integration with TrustedLink.

• Proven experience developing, modifying, and troubleshooting ANSI X12 EDI transactions.

• Experience with standard order-to-cash transactions, including 850, 855, 856, and 810.

• Demonstrated experience onboarding trading partners and managing EDI mapping and testing activities.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex EDI mapping and integration issues independently.

• Experience working in customized or legacy EDI environments.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal technical teams and trading partners.

• Experience supporting manufacturing or distribution environments preferred.

• Familiarity with VAN-based EDI communications, particularly OpenText-related services, is a plus.

• Ability and willingness to provide technical knowledge transfer and cross-training.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote consulting engagement with minimal oversight.

This engagement is intended for an experienced TrustedLink iSeries consultant who can quickly become productive, collaborate with an established development team, and deliver hands-on EDI development results.
