Duration: Long-Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. This individual will partner closely with engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and business teams to modernize applications, drive cloud adoption, and establish enterprise architecture standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end Azure cloud architectures, including compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and application services.
  • Lead modernization initiatives for enterprise web applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Define scalable frontend and backend application architecture using modern technologies.
  • Develop proof of concepts, reference architectures, and technical solution documentation.
  • Architect secure Azure environments utilizing Azure Entra ID, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Lead DevSecOps initiatives, CI/CD pipeline design, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Conduct architecture reviews, cloud readiness assessments, and technology evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with business goals, security requirements, and enterprise standards.
  • Mentor technical teams while driving architecture governance and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, or Infrastructure Architecture.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure architecture experience.
  • Strong background designing enterprise-scale cloud and web application solutions.
  • Experience with REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
  • Experience with backend technologies (.NET, Node.js, Java, or Python).
  • Deep knowledge of Azure services including:
    • Azure App Services
    • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
    • Azure Functions
    • API Management
    • Azure SQL
    • Cosmos DB
    • Azure Storage
    • Azure Monitor
  • Strong experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and release management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
  • Production Kubernetes experience.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • TOGAF certification or Enterprise Architecture experience.
  • Experience working in regulated or large enterprise environments.
