Job Description
We are seeking a Silicon CAD Engineer IV to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in low-power SoC implementation, RTL-to-GDSII flows, and power analysis automation and a proven ability to analyze and reduce power across design stages while improving scalable EDA flows.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive power analysis at RTL, netlist, and post-route stages through GDSII.
- Develop, improve, and automate power analysis flows, including data collection and modeling through automated pipelines.
- Investigate power inefficiencies and deliver actionable feedback to RTL design teams.
- Build and maintain datasets for power modeling and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with RTL-to-GDSII design flow at advanced nodes (7nm and below).
- Expertise in low-power techniques including power gating, multi-voltage rails, and UPF-based design and signoff.
- Proven power analysis and reduction using PrimeTime PX and/or PrimePower.
- Proficiency in scripting with emphasis on Python and ML/AI frameworks for data analysis and automation.
- Working knowledge of RTL design principles.
- Experience with RTL power optimization using tools such as PowerArtist.
- Ability to learn quickly, explore new ideas, and iterate to achieve results.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with logic synthesis and Place and Route (PnR) flows.
- Experience analyzing IP power characteristics and building runtime power estimation models for software or firmware teams.
- Skills in data analysis and modeling, including machine learning methods.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science required.
- Master's degree preferred.
