What You’ll Do
Architect and refine complex power conversion and distribution networks ranging from 500W to 50kW, ensuring peak survival and efficiency in extreme operational environments.
Execute end-to-end hardware development lifecycles, incorporating comprehensive circuit simulations, meticulous component evaluation, schematic generation, and precise PCB layout coordination.
Champion the prototyping, bench testing, and continuous debugging of high-voltage sub-systems using sophisticated laboratory diagnostic apparatus, including digital oscilloscopes, function generators, and specialized probes.
Synthesize high-availability power topologies and robust failover mechanisms to secure uninterrupted operations for business-critical maritime applications.
Integrate magnetic architectures, power amplifiers, and energy-storage components seamlessly with advanced embedded microprocessors.
Maximize system reliability through meticulous electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) design strategies and collaborative hardware-software verification.
Drive collaborative field engineering efforts, dedicating up to 25% of your time to on-site testing and client-facing technical briefings.
Mentor early-career engineering personnel, fostering institutional expertise in circuit layout, diagnostic methodology, and hardware verification.
What You Bring
Academic Foundation: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, specifically focusing on power systems or advanced energy architectures.
Professional Longevity: A minimum of 4 years of hands-on power electronics design experience with a BSEE, or 1+ years of specialized experience accompanied by an MSEE/PhD.
Technical Mastery: Proven expertise manipulating semiconductor devices, including MOSFETs, SiC FETs, Schottky diodes, and IGBTs.
Core Topologies: Profound familiarity with diverse converter methodologies (including buck, boost, flyback, and SEPIC) alongside their corresponding control logic.
Analytical Toolkit: Practical capability utilizing MATLAB for data interpretation and signal analysis, alongside basic exposure to embedded systems programming via C/C++ or Python.
Domain Attributes (Preferred): Prior exposure to acoustic transducers, marine vehicle architectures, subsea propulsion drives, or custom electronics assembly within an agile R&D framework.
