Description:
Diversified Systems is searching for a Business Analyst to support interface and file transfer modernization efforts. This position requires strong skills in requirements analysis, stakeholder coordination, migration planning, documentation, and process alignment related to middleware technologies, file transfer platforms, and partner integrations.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with middleware platforms such as Axway or equivalent technologies and will work closely with external partners, mainframe teams, middleware specialists, and distributed platform engineers to support migration activities from legacy environments.

Responsibilities:

• Partner Outreach & Coordination
  • Identify and lead outreach to third-party interface partners to support migration activities off the mainframe platform.
  • Initiate contact, schedule discussions, confirm availability for testing, and maintain ongoing communication throughout the transition.
• Interface & File Transfer Inventory & Documentation
  • Develop and maintain a complete inventory of all interfaces, file transfers, and stakeholders impacted by the migration.
  • Utilize prior project documentation, templates, and standards provided by JFS to ensure clarity and completeness.
• Technical Planning & Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Coordinate closely with mainframe (JCL) teams, Axway/middleware specialists, and distributed platform engineers.
  • Align technical planning with partner requirements, ensuring file formats, triggers, and batch execution windows meet operational expectations.
• Schedule Management & Delivery Tracking
  • Manage the migration schedule, adapting plans based on vendor responsiveness and internal resource constraints.
  • Drive timely execution across multiple teams.
• SFTP Environment Setup & Testing
  • Oversee testing cycles based on partner capabilities, ensuring successful authentication, file delivery, and processing.
• Documentation & Interface Control Details (ICD)
  • Analyze and create Interface Control Details (ICD) documentation.
  • Document connection details including DNS, ports, and protocols.
  • Document folder paths and naming conventions.
  • Document trigger points for when files are generated or expected.
  • Document expected success and failure indicators such as acknowledgements and error codes.
  • Maintain ICD documentation as the tracking mechanism for SFTP and web service interfaces.
• Documentation & Migration Tracking
  • Create clear diagrams showing file sources, destinations, triggers, and schedules.
  • Document error handling procedures, partner escalations, and SLAs.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of interfaces and file transfers.
  • Track complex migration activities from planning through completion.

Requirements:

• 10 years of relevant IT experience with specialization in middleware platforms such as Axway or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of mainframe batch job structures, JCL, job triggers, and scheduling concepts required.
• Experience with SFTP configuration, folder provisioning, secure key and credential management, and troubleshooting required.
• Strong understanding of interface design, file format requirements, and data exchange dependencies required.
• Knowledge of documentation tools including Visio, Azure, and ALM Octane for creating document artifacts required.
• Ability to analyze and create Interface Control Details (ICD) documentation required.
• Strong documentation skills for complex integration and file transfer flows required.
• Excellent documentation skills and the ability to track complex migration tasks end-to-end required.
• Ability to interact effectively with external vendors, business partners, and senior-level stakeholders required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
