Summary

Job Title: Data Governance Technical Steward

Duration: 6+ Months (Onsite 5 days)

Location: Dallas, TX

Key Responsibilities:

Metadata & Catalog Management: Document technical metadata for retail-specific assets, including SKU hierarchies, store location IDs, and digital marketing tags, primarily within tools like Alation or Collibra.
Retail Data Quality (DQ): Define and monitor DQ rules for critical retail metrics such as inventory levels, pricing accuracy, and loyalty member status.
Master Data Implementation: Support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives for the "Customer" and "Product" domains to create a single source of truth across all sales channels.
Lineage & Impact Analysis: Map technical data flows from supply chain systems to downstream analytics, ensuring pricing or discount changes don't break reporting pipelines.
Security & Privacy Compliance: Implement technical access controls and retention policies to protect sensitive PII (Personally Identifiable Information) according to GDPR or CCPA.

Key Requirements:

Technical Stack: Proficiency in SQL for data profiling and familiarity with retail systems like SAP Retail, Oracle NetSuite, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
Experience: 6 to 8+ years in data management, ideally with exposure to retail supply chain or e-commerce data.
Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of retail-specific data objects like SKUs, UPCs, and seasonal inventory lifecycles.
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
