Summary

Job Summary

The Network Administrator supports IT operations at Dugway Proving Ground, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of network and information systems across the installation and remote sites. This role includes system administration, user support, compliance activities, and technical leadership in a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for computers, applications, networks, and peripheral devices
  • Diagnose and resolve moderate to complex technical issues
  • Create and maintain user-friendly Knowledge Base documentation and self-help guides
  • Train and mentor technical support staff on new and existing systems
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP, and VTC systems
  • Monitor network performance and ensure operational standards are met
  • Perform quarterly STIG checks (25%) supporting RMF and CCRI compliance, including documentation and reporting
  • Install and maintain copper and fiber cabling to structured cabling standards
  • Coordinate issue escalation and improve customer service processes
  • Develop and maintain procedures to improve service quality and team effectiveness

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and network environments
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with technical and non-technical users
  • Experience with advanced networking, troubleshooting, and virtualized environments
  • Supervisory or team lead experience required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment

Certifications & Clearance

  • Active SECRET clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant)
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • CCNA
  • Aruba Certified Associate (ACA - Campus Access) within six (6) months

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $48.08/hr.
