We are seeking an experienced FCS Solution Architect / Technical Lead to support Liberty Utilities' Itron Field Collection System (FCS) upgrade project. The consultant will be responsible for defining the target-state (TO-BE) solution architecture and design for upgrading the existing FCS environments to version 4.7.
The project involves upgrading the current FCS 4.3.0 environment for NY Water and FCS 4.5.3 environment for Liberty, including associated field collection devices and Bing Maps compatibility.
Lead solution architecture and technical design for the FCS upgrade to version 4.7.
Define the target-state solution architecture, including server specifications and infrastructure requirements.
Review the existing FCS environment and identify upgrade dependencies and technical impacts.
Provide technical leadership, make architecture decisions, and conduct design reviews.
Support integration considerations involving SAP billing, DFS, and MOVEit SFTP.
Evaluate compatibility requirements for FC300 handheld devices and Itron MC3/MC4 Toughbooks.
Identify technical risks, resolve architecture issues, and escalate project-level concerns.
Collaborate with business, technical, infrastructure, and testing teams throughout the upgrade.
Hands-on knowledge of Itron Field Collection System (FCS).
Knowledge of the Itron Mobile Collection System.
Experience in solution architecture, technical design, or technical leadership.
Ability to define target-state solutions and server specifications.
