Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree. Five years of experience in the repair, troubleshooting, testing, installation and maintenance of voice, data, and wireless communication equipment is required. A high school diploma or GED along with additional experience in the repair, troubleshooting, testing, installation and maintenance of voice, data, and wireless communication equipment may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Must possess a valid driver''s license.

Miami-Dade County Communications, Information & Technology Department (CITD) is recruiting a full-time IT Senior Telecommunications Technician that will be assigned to the Radio Shop of the Radio Communication Services Division. The Senior Telecommunications Technician position is critical to providing the necessary support required for County radio business functions. The emphasis of the position is to repair, maintain and test radio subscriber equipment utilized within the county wide P25 public safety radio system.
Experience with the following is preferred:
- Familiarity with specialized test equipment commonly used in the radio electronics trade.
- Reading and interpreting schematics, electronic diagrams and blueprints as part of a diagnosis and repair process.
- Microsoft Office and software based diagnostic tools.
The work schedule for this position is from 7:30AM to 4:00PM, Monday to Friday.
