Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Software Programmer – Consultant to support the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-scale applications and database systems within a government technology environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration, .NET development, and enterprise data integration, along with the ability to support large-scale production systems and complex data environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support enterprise-level web applications and database integrations.
Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis based on business and technical requirements.
Conduct data profiling and implement data cleansing strategies to ensure high data quality.
Design and maintain reports, vendor exports, and data warehouse related processes.
Analyze complex datasets and communicate insights using advanced reporting techniques.
Identify data patterns, potential issues, and recommend scalable solutions.
Design, build, test, and validate system interfaces and data exchange procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement and maintain data integration processes.
Monitor and troubleshoot interface files and nightly batch processing activities.
Perform code reviews, technical reviews, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Monitor database growth, performance, and recommend optimization strategies.
Develop dashboards and analytical reports using Microsoft Power BI.
Provide database administration support for enterprise applications.
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards.
Support development teams with technical guidance, documentation, and system architecture best practices.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
5+ years of experience working with large-scale system architecture and production environments.
Experience supporting large production system implementations.
Experience coordinating with or overseeing work performed by software development vendors.
Strong expertise with Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience with TFS (Team Foundation Server).
Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio 2022.
Experience with C#, ASP.NET, and .NET development.
Experience with PowerShell scripting.

Preferred Skills

Experience working with Child Support Enforcement or Human Services systems.
Experience developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
