Description:

Engineer Product I - Electrification
Major Purpose
Performs basic product design, testing, and/or analysis work for a defined portion of a project. Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews. Develops recommendations within established guidelines; work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation.

Major Duties:
  • Carry out a range of activities under guidance to support the analysis of information, specification of methods, and process steps.
  • Contribute to the development and feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions.
  • Support drafting of engineering standards and evaluation of their effectiveness.
  • Perform inspections under supervision to evaluate engineering work quality and integrity.
  • Identify shortcomings in existing processes and implement changes.
  • Work within an established project management plan.
  • Develop capabilities through training, coaching, and professional accreditation.
  • Collaborate with professional teams to ensure seamless support.
  • Create and maintain high-standard technical/user documentation.

  • Works with guidance to use advanced engineering technologies.
  • Executes engineering designs using appropriate methods, tools, processes, and software.
  • Produces technical engineering specifications and related materials.
  • Tests, evaluates, and improves engineering outcomes.

  • Develops plans and performs necessary actions based on recommendations.
  • Identifies and manages project-related risks.
  • Measures and reports progress to keep projects on track.

  • Manages projects within cost, time, and quality parameters.
  • Builds and structures project teams for effective operations.

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level

Job Title: Electrification PV&V Engineer

Primary Location: Morrisville, NC

Your Responsibilities:

As an Electrification PV&V Engineer, you will:
  • Perform functional testing and analysis of electric drive systems.
  • Work with platform vehicle engineers to translate customer needs into system requirements.
  • Develop electrification subsystem test plans with Application Engineering.
  • Execute product testing through formal processes.
  • Collaborate globally with engineers, consultants, and suppliers.

Required Skills:
  • 2+ years of Product Engineering or PV&V test engineering experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in design/testing of electric drive systems, power electronics, and electric machines.
  • 1+ years of product development process experience.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (including a 40-minute drive to another plant).

What Makes You Stand Out:
  • Experience in design/testing of agricultural hydraulic, electric, drivetrain, or powertrain components.
  • Advanced technical degree in electric drives or related engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with commercial and golf course Turf Care vehicles.
  • Debugging electrical systems.

Education:

Ideally, a degree or equivalent experience in:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
