Overview

TalentFish is casting a line for a Microsoft 365 Application Analyst. This is a full-time hire opportunity with our premier client based in Chicago, IL.

The Microsoft 365 Application Analyst will develop, implement, maintain, and enhance business and enterprise applications while ensuring alignment with user needs, system functionality, and organizational goals.

What You ll Bring (Ideal Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) system analysis and/or application support.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and ServiceNow.
  • Experience with application configuration tools.
  • Knowledge of HTML.
  • Experience evaluating and interpreting end-user requirements and translating them into system solutions.
  • Strong understanding of computer science concepts, data analysis, and programming technologies.
  • Experience developing, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting complex application software.
  • Experience using problem tracking and reporting systems.
  • Ability to create technical documentation, training materials, and user procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have / Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting Microsoft Copilot (M365) within an organization, including end-user training, use case development, prompt optimization, and driving adoption.

What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)

  • Handle moderately complex, business-critical application support and development work.
  • Prepare detailed program specifications and identify required system inputs.
  • Coordinate system implementation and installation with user departments.
  • Implement required hardware and software components for approved applications.
  • Investigate and resolve user issues and system problems, identifying root causes and solutions.
  • Analyze project proposals and recommend optimal technical approaches.
  • Participate in development, implementation, installation, and testing of applications.
  • Contribute to development of tools, interfaces, and debugging programs.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new applications and system enhancements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and system information.
  • Document system issues, resolutions, and technical processes for future reference.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation and Employment

This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $102,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.
