IT Hardware TechnicianFull-Time | Contract | Entry LevelPosition OverviewAn IT Hardware Technician is needed to support a large-scale laptop refresh initiative. This hands-on role focuses on imaging, staging, configuring, and preparing end-user devices for deployment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-moving IT environment. This project includes completing a high volume of laptop refreshes, along with ongoing new-hire and replacement device builds. Opportunities for skill development and expanded responsibilities are available.
Primary ResponsibilitiesLaptop Imaging & Staging- Unbox, power on, and cable laptops for imaging.
- Apply configuration changes according to established standards.
- Perform imaging processes and verify successful installation.
- Enroll devices into management systems using designated accounts.
- Initiate operating system updates and monitor automated software installations.
- Manage multiple device builds simultaneously during staging cycles.
- Ensure correct device models are assigned based on user roles.
User Configuration / White-Glove Setup- Sign into devices as the end user to complete profile setup.
- Configure email, signatures, and user-specific settings.
- Import browser bookmarks when applicable.
- Complete checklist-driven quality reviews before deployment.
Additional Responsibilities- Build and configure tablets for field and sales teams.
- Track and fulfill hardware requests such as monitors and accessories.
- Package and ship equipment ahead of daily pickup deadlines.
- Maintain accuracy in labeling, user assignment, and documentation.
- Assist the team with on-site tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Experience- Hands-on experience with device imaging and deployment.
- Understanding of device enrollment workflows.
- Familiarity with laptop hardware setup and basic configuration.
- Ability to manage multiple device builds at once.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in model selection and user assignment.
- Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn.
- Internship or prior IT experience preferred.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
