Responsibilities:
• Maintain and enhance multiple Posit deployments (Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager), ensuring infrastructure remains functional and available for public health analytics.
• Install, configure, and support Posit Workbench, Posit Connect, and Posit Package Manager across various deployments.
• Manage complex R, Python, and system dependencies within Linux environments, coordinating with technical teams.
• Provide user support, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver best-practice guidance for R, Python, and Shiny applications.
• Perform system hardening and ensure security compliance following DoD STIGs and SRGs.
• Monitor system performance, manage user access and authentication, and support backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience with systems administration in Linux environments, including system management, patching, and optimization.
• 3+ years of experience administering Posit products (Workbench, Connect, Package Manager).
• Experience creating and managing R and Python packages.
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools such as SCC, Nessus, or ACAS.
• Proficiency with IDEs including RStudio, VS Code, and Jupyter Labs/Notebook.
• Understanding of system hardening using DoD Security Requirements Guides (SRGs) and STIGs.
• Experience with backup and recovery procedures for critical systems.
• Ability to install, update, and manage complex R, Python, and system dependencies in Linux.
• Possession of one of the following certifications: Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP, SecurityX, CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP, FITSP-O, or GFAACT.
• Bachelor''s degree required.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Kubernetes and Azure Container Registry for containerized deployments.
• Managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
• Development with frameworks like Dash, Streamlit, Bokeh, Flask, or Shiny.
• Automation and scripting with Bash, Python, Ansible.
• Networking management using Cisco switches.
• Knowledge of Hyper-V or VMware vSphere for virtual machine management.
• Familiarity with authentication systems such as LDAP, Active Directory, SSO, SAML.
• Experience with data science Python and R libraries (tidyverse, pandas, scikit-learn, etc.).
