Summary

Title:- Java Backend Developer

Location:- Pittsburgh, PA (Onsite)

Duration:- 12 months

Role Summary

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise backend applications supporting banking platforms, integrations, and internal business systems. The role focuses on Java-based enterprise systems, microservices, and backend architecture supporting core corporate and operational functions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement backend services using Java / Spring / enterprise frameworks
Develop scalable REST APIs and microservices
Analyze business requirements and translate them into application architecture
Support enterprise system integration across banking platforms
Improve application performance, database flow design, and automation opportunities
Provide production support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
Ensure coding standards, security, and performance best practices
Work with architects, business analysts, and DevOps teams for release deployments
Document application architecture and technical specifications

Required Skills

Strong experience in Java, Spring, Spring Boot
REST API and Microservices architecture
SQL / Oracle / DB2 / relational databases
Messaging / integration technologies (Kafka / MQ / middleware depending team)
CI/CD pipelines and Git version control
Experience working in enterprise banking or financial systems preferred

Education / Experience

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field
Typically 7 10+ years backend / enterprise application development experience
Strong architecture, integration, and performance-tuning experience

Environment / Domain

Enterprise banking systems
Corporate functions / back-office application platforms

High-availability and secure financial transaction environments
