Position Overview
The Senior Administrator will manage and support enterprise Chromebook devices in a production environment, with a focus on VPN connectivity and certificate-based authentication. This includes administering device policies via Google Admin Console and coordinating certificate lifecycle management through Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM.
This role is ideal for a hands-on administrator who can ensure ChromeOS endpoints remain secure, compliant, and reliably connected for end users. The role requires 24x7 on-call availability and operates within a critical production environment demanding strong technical depth, security awareness, and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support enterprise Chromebook fleets in a 24x7 production environment
- Manage VPN connectivity and certificate-based authentication for ChromeOS endpoints
- Configure and maintain device policies through the Google Admin Console
- Coordinate certificate lifecycle management via Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM
- Troubleshoot ChromeOS-level, connectivity, and authentication issues
- Monitor endpoint compliance and remediate policy violations
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation supporting a critical production environment
- Document platform standards, configurations, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with security, networking, and identity teams to maintain endpoint reliability
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience administering enterprise endpoint environments, with ChromeOS/Chromebook focus
- Hands-on experience with Google Admin Console for device policy management
- Experience with Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM (or similar UEM/MDM) for certificate lifecycle management
- Strong understanding of VPN connectivity and certificate-based authentication
- Experience troubleshooting OS-level, network, and authentication issues in production
- Ability to work within a 24x7 on-call rotation supporting critical production systems
- Strong security awareness and operational discipline in regulated, large-scale environments
- Experience working in fast-paced, large-scale enterprise environments
