Senior Software Engineer - ERP

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Bakers Hill, CA that is seeking a Software Engineer, ERP to help design and build next-generation, business-critical enterprise software supporting complex, mission-critical workflows. This role focuses on middle-tier and backend systems that power highly interdependent operational processes across ERP, warehouse, inventory, and logistics platforms. The engineer will work collaboratively within a team to modernize and evolve a critical operational system, with future technology decisions still being defined.

Responsibilities:
* Design and develop middle-tier and backend systems that support critical enterprise workflows
* Build and enhance workflow-driven applications where modules are highly interdependent and failure-intolerant
* Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team to design next-generation, business-critical software
* Develop APIs, integration logic, and backend services supporting ERP, WMS, and operational platforms
* Identify architectural weaknesses in complex systems and implement reliable, scalable solutions
* Support data migration, system integrations, and modernization of legacy platforms
* Improve system throughput, reliability, and visibility for mission-critical operations
* Contribute as a hands-on engineer with a strong analytical mindset

REQUIREMENTS:
* 1+ years of professional Node.js experience
* Experience building or supporting enterprise applications with critical workflows
* Strong backend or middle-tier development experience
* Familiarity with ERP, WMS, inventory management, logistics, or workflow-centric systems
* Experience working with complex, dependency-heavy systems
* Exposure to data migration, system integrations, or legacy system modernization
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills suited for mission-critical environments
* Ability to work collaboratively within an engineering team to design and deliver scalable solutions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
