Job#: 3030628 Job Description: Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE
Quality Engineer for our client based out of
Macungie, PA.
This assignment is anticipated to be a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.
This will also have a first-shift Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead, and support product and production quality activities across engineering and operational functions.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality assurance methods, tools, and processes throughout the project and production lifecycle.
- Design and maintain inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to ensure product and process accuracy, reliability, and consistency.
- Define and analyze inspection and test processes, including associated equipment and measurement systems.
- Conduct quality and process audits, validation activities, and statistical analyses to monitor process control and identify risks.
- Apply statistical methods to assess variation, control effectiveness, and overall quality performance.
- Lead root-cause analysis for quality issues and deviations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and sustained.
- Verify that corrective measures meet defined reliability, compliance, and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate quality findings, influence improvements, and support adherence to standards.
- Operate with general supervision while taking ownership of assigned quality deliverables and initiatives.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering or manufacturing quality role.
- Working knowledge of standard quality processes and methodologies, including:
- PFMEA
- Control Plans
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Experience performing data analysis and quality reporting to support decision-making.
- Ability to resolve moderately complex quality issues through structured analysis and problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain quality concepts, findings, and process requirements to stakeholders.
- Basic experience with design or drafting tools such as AutoCAD, CATIA, or Creo.
- Experience using Minitab for statistical analysis.
- Strong proficiency with Excel for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
