Description:
Diversified Systems is searching for an IT Enterprise Business Analyst, who, under broad supervision, analyzes customer business needs and participates in the planning, design and implementation of new or enhanced systems. May act as a team or project leader. The IT Enterprise Business Analyst will support an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management systems within a healthcare environment. This position will collaborate with clinical staff, technical teams, program staff, administrators, and developers to ensure the effective operation, support, enhancement, and security of EHR systems and related technologies.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration and support of HL7 standards.
  • Manage and maintain EHR and Practice Management systems, ensuring they are functioning optimally and securely.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clinical staff, technical staff, program staff, administrators, and developers, to gather and document business requirements for the EHR system.
  • Provide ongoing support for the EHR system, including managing updates, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data accuracy and security compliant with HIPAA standards.
  • Collaborate with developers and administrators to resolve technical issues and enhance platform performance.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
  • Provide technical support to end-users by interfacing with vendor Support Teams to address software issues promptly.
  • Assist trainers with training programs for clinic staff to ensure efficient use of the EHR system.
  • Analyze clinical workflows and processes to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement within the EHR system.
  • Generate and analyze reports to support clinical and administrative decision-making.
  • Provide advanced Windows troubleshooting and support for software and cloud platforms.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to understand issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Compose clear and detailed JIRA tickets for developers and administrators.
  • Ensure the security of IT systems and data, adhering to best practices and company policies.
  • Utilize available tools such as REST APIs, Postman, and Swagger for testing and documentation purposes.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and 2 years in a related supervisory position; OR Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and 3 years of related experience, 2 years of which must be in a related supervisory position; OR 2 years of experience at the lower-level IT Enterprise Business Analyst 2 (ITP181) or equivalent position required.
  • 3 years of experience supporting EHR and Practice Management systems in a medical clinic or similar healthcare setting required.
  • Proven experience in system implementation, configuration, and support required.
  • 3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and supporting software applications required.
  • 3 years of experience with ticketing systems such as JIRA and Ivanti for issue tracking and ticket management required.
  • 5 years of advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders effectively required.
  • Experience with issue-tracking software required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment required.
  • Availability to work on-call or during off-hours as needed to support hospital IT operations required.
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving required.
  • Understanding of IT security tools and protocols required.
  • 3 years of proficiency in HL7 and IT security best practices highly desired.
  • Experience with networking, including installation, configuration, and management of networks highly desired.
