Portico System Data Analyst
Location: Remote (EST hours)
Duration: 6-month contract with potential to extend

Overview
We are seeking a Business Data Analyst to support provider data initiatives within a healthcare environment. This role focuses on extracting, analyzing, and reconciling data across systems to ensure accuracy and support business decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with large datasets, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources, including SQL Server, Oracle, and internal systems
- Reconcile provider data between systems and identify discrepancies or anomalies
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and trend analysis
- Develop and generate reports using SQL, Excel, and Access
- Interpret business requirements and translate them into data-driven insights
- Support reporting needs related to healthcare data (e.g., claims, provider, member data)
- Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders
- Assist in maintaining data integrity and updating core systems as needed
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis or statistical analysis
- Hands-on experience writing SQL queries (SQL Server and/or Oracle)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with healthcare data (provider, claims, member data)
- Familiarity with provider data systems, particularly Portico
- Exposure to data reconciliation and data quality processes
