JOB SUMMARY

The FLEX Director, Technology Transformation Execution Lead role supports enterprise-scale PI Planning and execution for one of Marriott's major transformation programs. The individual will partner closely with Business, Technology, and Executive Leadership to drive alignment, execution discipline, and predictable outcomes across multiple Release Trains.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field or an equivalent professional experience
  • 7+ years' experience managing and supporting IT systems and operations AND 5+ years' experience working as a Project Manager / Project Management Office team, using Waterfall and Agile Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Experience in Project Management tools (i.e., Atlassian Jira/Confluence, MS Project)
  • Adaptable, efficient, proactive and effective in ensuring completion of Projects and Initiatives

Preferred
  • Expertise working with Power BI, Smartsheet and Power Automate
  • Experience in conflict resolution and people management
  • Expertise in reporting and analysis of the program's/initiative's status
  • Experience in managing and engaging mid to high level executives

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate PI Planning ceremonies for a large-scale transformation program to ensure readiness before, alignment during, and follow-through after PI events
  • Ensure alignment across Release Trains on program-level objectives, leadership priorities, and deployment timelines
  • Coordinate weekly programmatic communications to Release Trains
  • Track PI execution and surface delivery risks and dependencies with program leadership
  • Prepare clear execution insights and materials for executive leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement for PI planning and execution by identifying opportunities to improve tooling, automation, governance, and delivery efficiency

Key Skills and Capabilities
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with ability to engage senior stakeholders
  • Organized, structured, and strong attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset for improving delivery processes, tooling, and efficiency
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, complex transformation environments
  • Experience supporting large cross-team events
  • Experience tracking delivery progress, risks, dependencies across multiple teams
  • Experience in Jira, PowerBI, Smartsheet preferred
  • Understanding of agile and SAFe ceremonies preferred
