Trenton, SC | 100% On-Site | 40 Hours/Week | Long-Term Contract
Do you thrive at the intersection of field leadership, problem-solving, and complex MEP construction?
We're looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site construction activities for large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects.
This role is ideal for a hands-on generalist CM with a strong Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Experience who can manage contractors, solve real-time field issues, and maintain schedule, budget, safety, and quality on fast-moving projects.

What You'll Be Responsible For

You'll serve as the on-site construction authority, driving execution from early construction through commissioning and closeout.
  • Manage on-site construction, commissioning, and project turnover
  • Own the construction scope, including:
    • New build-outs
    • Retrofit and renovation work
  • Coordinate between:
    • Contractors
    • Designers
    • Consultants
    • Cross-functional internal teams
  • Lead daily site activities while maintaining strong relationships across all stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through innovation, process, and accountability
  • Support project planning and scoping by sequencing and packaging work for execution
  • Assist with development and maintenance of project schedules
  • Manage cost changes, pricing negotiations, and financial forecasting
  • Track schedule risks and proactively report mitigation plans
  • Conduct regular site walks and WIP validations to support progress tracking and invoicing
  • Review and manage Method of Procedures (MOPs) for work in live / operational environments
  • Support commissioning activities for new and retrofit construction
  • Provide status reporting on schedule, cost, quality, and risk
  • Drive project closeout activities and documentation
  • Promote a strong safety culture, continuous improvement, and teamwork

What We're Looking For

Required / Strongly Preferred

  • Strong Construction Management experience in complex environments
  • Proven MEP Experience (mechanical and/or electrical experience is critical)
  • Field experience combined with basic project management knowledge
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams in different phases
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfort solving problems in real time at the job site

Ideal Experience

  • 7-10 years of experience in construction, operations, maintenance, or project delivery
  • Experience with mission-critical infrastructure or highly technical facilities
  • Familiarity with:
    • Electrical, mechanical, and connectivity systems
    • Commissioning of new builds and retrofits
    • CPM scheduling principles
  • Experience working with schedules and budgets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice-to-Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6
  • Experience coordinating with QA/QC teams

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr.
