Position Overview:

The Health & Benefits Operations Intern will support the Operations leadership team in advancing process improvement initiatives, strengthening business analytics, and helping design and implement new operational capabilities across the Health & Benefits practice. This role is ideal for a highly motivated student who enjoys solving problems, working with data, and applying technology to improve how work gets done.

The intern will gain hands-on exposure to consulting operations, analytics, and automation while partnering closely with experienced operational and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives, including documentation, analysis, and redesign of workflows
  • Assist in the development of business analytics, dashboards, and reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Help design, test, and deploy new tools, automations, and capabilities that enhance scalability and consistency across the Health & Benefits practice
  • Work with large and complex datasets to analyze trends, identify insights, and support recommendations
  • Create executive-ready materials (presentations, summaries, visuals) for leadership review
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Analytics, Technology, and Consulting
  • Support ad hoc projects aligned with operational excellence, innovation, and transformation priorities

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university
  • Academic focus in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

    • Business major with analytics or IT minor strongly preferred

  • Strong analytical mindset with interest in operations, process improvement, and technology-enabled solutions

Technical Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (required)
  • Comfort working with or strong interest in:

    • Power BI
    • Power Automate
    • Power Query
    • Python
    • Other analytics, automation, or low-code/no-code tools

  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Ability to translate data and analysis into clear insights and recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional curiosity and a desire to continuously improve how work is done

What We Offer:

The base salary range for this position is $20 to $27 per hour. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
