Job Title: QA Analyst
Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst to support quality assurance activities for Child Support program applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Child Support systems and will collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, compliant, and reliable system delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business and technical requirements related to Child Support program applications.
Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Validate Child Support system functionality against federal, state, and program-specific requirements.
Perform defect tracking, reporting, and verification using standard QA tools.
Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues, clarify expected behavior, and validate fixes.
Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, and sprint planning sessions.
Ensure compliance with Child Support enforcement regulations and data integrity standards.
Support UAT activities and coordinate with business users and stakeholders.
Provide clear test status reports, metrics, and documentation to project leadership.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a QA Analyst in application testing environments.
Hands-on experience with Child Support program systems (IV-D, enforcement, case management, financials, or related modules).
Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps, or similar).
Ability to analyze complex business rules and translate them into effective test scenarios.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience testing state or government human services applications.
Knowledge of federal Child Support regulations and reporting requirements.
SQL skills for data validation and backend testing.
Experience working in a hybrid or distributed team environment.
Work Environment
Hybrid role: Combination of onsite and remote work based in Hartford, CT.
Collaboration with cross-functional technical and business teams.
