Summary

Job Title: Quality Analyst

Location: Houston, TX (Only local candidates) - In-person interview

Job Type: Long-term contract

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end QA activities across multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploration across web, desktop, mobile, and API layers.
Conduct comprehensive API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI (REST/SOAP services).
Execute and manage mobile application testing on iOS and Android platforms, including device farms.
Define, track, and report QA metrics, present status to stakeholders and leadership regularly.
Mentor junior QA engineers and conduct peer reviews of test cases and automation scripts.
Partner with product owners, developers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and enforce QA best practices across teams.
Manage defect lifecycle end-to-end using JIRA, Azure, or equivalent tools.

Skills Must have

Required Skills & Tools

Mobile App Testing, API Testing, JIRA, SQL, Agile / Scrum, SDLC & STLC

Nice to have:

UFT, Tosca, Epic EMR, and Selenium

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT-related field.
8+ years of hands-on QA experience
Proven multi-project management skills
ISTQB certification preferred
Epic certification is a strong plus
Experience in the healthcare IT domain preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
Skilled at prioritizing in high-pressure, multi-deadline environments

Good communication skills
