Position: Senior SAP FS-RI Consultant (Reinsurance Management)
Locations: New Jersey (Jersey City / Parsippany), New York (NYC)
Must-Have Skills
· Strong hands-on experience in SAP FS-RI (Reinsurance) configuration & support
· Deep domain expertise in:
· Treaty & Facultative Reinsurance
· Proportional & Non-Proportional structures
· Ceded & Assumed Reinsurance
Experience in:
· Contract/Treaty setup & configuration
· Premium calculation, postings, estimations
· Claims, recoveries, commissions, settlements
· UPR & reinstatement premiums
· Strong knowledge of Reinsurance Accounting Principles
· Experience in period-end close (month/quarter/year)
Integration expertise with:
· SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR)
· SAP FS-CD
· Ability to analyze
· Posting logic
· Document flow
· Reconciliation issues & data discrepancies
Experience in:
· SIT, UAT & production support
· Functional specifications & business requirement discussions
· Basic ABAP debugging / log analysis
· Mandatory: Insurance/Reinsurance domain experience
· Experience: 6+ years SAP, including 3+ years in FS-RI
Roles & Responsibilities
· Analyze reinsurance business requirements & design SAP FS-RI solutions
· Configure: Treaty & Facultative reinsurance Proportional & Non-Proportional structures
· Maintain: Contracts, treaties, sections & participation structures
· Handle: Premiums, estimations, claims, recoveries, commissions, settlements
· Ensure accurate postings to SAP S/4HANA Finance
· Manage: UPR, reinstatement premiums, period-end activities
· Support: Month-end, quarter-end & year-end close
· Collaborate with: Finance, Actuarial & Business teams
· Integration support: FS-CD, FI & external systems
· Prepare: Functional specs, configs & test cases
· Support: SIT, UAT, defects & production issues
· Resolve: Posting errors, reconciliation & data issues
· Ensure: Audit, compliance & internal controls
· Participate in: Change management & release activities
· Provide: Knowledge transfer to teams
