Project Manager (State of Texas Experience Required)

⚠️ Mandatory Requirements

• 15+ years of Project Management experience.
• Active PMP Certification is REQUIRED.
• ONLY candidates with previous State of Texas Agency experience will be considered.
• NO Federal Government or Other State Government experience will be considered.
• Candidates with experience working under State of Texas procurement frameworks such as FAST, DIR, or similar contracts will receive high priority for shortlisting.
• Must be available to work onsite up to four days per week in Austin, Texas.

Minimum Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience managing large-scale, complex IT or business transformation projects.
• Strong expertise in PMI/PMBOK, Agile, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project documentation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across business and technical teams.
• Strong experience with risk management, issue tracking, change control, and governance processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations and reporting.
• Hands-on experience using Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent project management tools.
• Experience ensuring compliance with organizational governance, procurement policies, and project standards.
• Experience managing IT system implementations, enterprise applications, and large-scale data system projects.
• Experience working within public sector environments, preferably supporting State of Texas agencies, public safety, or law enforcement organizations.
• Experience managing projects under State of Texas procurement frameworks (FAST, DIR, or similar contracts) is highly preferred.
• Active PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification is mandatory.
