About the OpportunityOur client, a growing leader in the electronic security industry, is seeking a highly skilled Access Control Technician to join their team in a contract-to-hire capacity.
This role is ideal for an experienced security professional who enjoys the technical side of security systems and can independently program, configure, commission, and support complex installations. The Access Control Technician serves as a key technical resource for project teams and helps ensure systems are properly configured and operational before project completion.

Key Responsibilities- System Programming & Configuration
- Program and configure access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems
- Perform system setup, integration, testing, and commissioning
- Ensure systems are configured according to project specifications
- Bring new systems online independently and troubleshoot technical issues
Technical Support- Act as a technical subject matter expert for installation and project teams
- Provide guidance and support related to system configuration and functionality
- Assist field technicians with troubleshooting and system optimization
Project Support- Support multiple security projects simultaneously
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure successful project execution
- Verify system performance and operational readiness prior to client turnover
Professional Development- Maintain active certifications and current knowledge of security industry technologies
- Stay informed on new products, software, and industry best practices
Required Qualifications- 3-5+ years of experience within the electronic security industry
- Strong hands-on experience programming and configuring security systems
- Ability to independently commission and support security solutions
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Self-driven, resourceful, and capable of working with minimal supervision
- Active, current certifications related to security systems preferred
- Recent hands-on experience with security system programming and configuration

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Vista, NE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
