Overview
Epstein is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our MEP engineering team. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer performs a variety of engineering tasks, and works with others on the design team (often a multi-disciplined team) to design innovative and technically sound solutions in accordance to project requirements and applicable codes. Knowledge of BIM and previous experience with Revit is a must. The individual designs HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, education, hospitality, government, residential, retail and industrial facilities. The capability to coordinate with other building design disciplines is important. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of working/construction documents and familiarity with building codes.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering
3-5 years of successful project experience within a consulting engineering firm
HVAC system design experience including airside ductwork and hydronic piping distribution.
Experience with HVAC equipment selection.
Knowledge of process piping, fire protection, and plumbing systems
Understanding coordination requirements between disciplines.
Ability to read and understand Mechanical Systems Codes and Standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong experience with REVIT and discipline specific software packages such as Trane/Trace and Trace 3D

Compensation
Individual compensation is determined by several factors, including education, experience, training, qualifications, skill sets, licensure/certifications, and location. Employees are also eligible for discretionary annual bonuses based on both company and individual performance.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
