Job Summary
Client is seeking an experienced Test Analyst with detailed knowledge and experience to work on the complex systems software projects, and/or work independently as a high-level technical test specialist on the more complex systems assignments within the Solution Services division of Technology Services. The services required are more fully described in Attachment V, Statement of Work, included in this document.
Job Description
The purpose is to hire experienced Test Analyst with detailed knowledge and experience of testing complex systems software projects, testing processes, testing tools and methodologies, to ensure that enterprise testing strategies and relevant quality assurance technologies are represented in client Information Technology (IT) processes and standards. The Contractor will participate in and assist the testing activities in various software development efforts. The Contractor will also be helping Client to standardize its future-state software testing framework and architecture and align them with its enterprise architecture. The Contractor will propose, define, and establish additional quality assurance tools, standards, and best practices at the enterprise level, while leveraging and combining Client's existing testing tools, processes, and practices into this future-state software testing framework. In addition, other job functions and responsibilities include design of test data to support the test strategy and test approach; continuous improvement of test efficiency, through the implementation of new methods, techniques, and test tools across the organization/projects; monitor and assure compliance to the test strategy (per release/project); implementation of post-execution test strategy/framework improvements based on feedback received from other test analysts and testers; provide periodic status of milestones and checkpoints to management and participating product teams thus allowing assessment of the progress against plan; maintain expert level product knowledge with test management tools such as JAMA, Selenium, Robot Framework, Jira, Azure DevOps and other test tools as required; report status on various projects.
Minimum Technical Qualifications
1. At least 10 years of working experience in Information Technology or Information System (IT or IS) fields with most experience in the areas of software testing and quality assurance, including knowledge and experience overseeing testing portions of entire System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure quality, timely defect resolution(s), and software performance, etc.
2. At least 5 years of experience producing the following documents: testing requirements, testing plan and strategy, test design for various types of testing, e.g. system test, functional test and regression testing.
3. At least 5 years of experience analyzing business, functional and technical requirements and translating them into test requirements and test cases.
4. At least 5 years of experience preparing (i.e. setting & resetting) software testing harness including test tools, test environments, as well as formulating test data sets and test cases for various types of testing, e.g. system test, functional test and regression test.
5. At least 5 years of experience using industry leading defect tracking tools (e.g JIRA, Jama and ALM).
6. At least 5 years of experience developing test cases and test scripts for testing configurable Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Products, Software as a Service (SaaS), and custom developed applications.
7. At least 5 years of experience demonstrating experience analyzing test results, generating test reports, identifying defects and /or anomalies, and fine-tuning test data or test cases.
Desirable Technical Qualifications
1. Experience overseeing testing phases for enterprise-wide IT projects.
2. Experience with pension administration systems, soft phone systems, business process management systems, imaging systems.
3. Experience working with external vendors as a designated representative of a large government agency.
4. Server database experience with queries using Structured Query Language (SQL).
5. Experience using industry leading test tools (e.g. Jama, Jira, Selenium, Robot Framework).
6. In-depth knowledge with various enterprise technologies and software products such as Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Enterprise Content Management (ECM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) products (for example, SAP, FileNet).
7. Knowledge of various System Development Lifecycle methodologies including V Model, Waterfall, and Agile.
8. Proven ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
9. Excellent oral communication skill and technical writing skill.
10. Four-year college degree (Bachelor) or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields from a government accredited/sanctioned college or university.
