Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Budget Analyst Level 1 to support financial operations, trade capture, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with Finance, Risk, and IT teams to ensure accurate transaction processing, reporting integrity, and continuous business optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture and record trades within SOX-compliant applications
  • Perform end-of-day reconciliations and reporting activities
  • Verify trading positions and monitor daily risk metrics, including Value at Risk (VaR)
  • Reconcile broker statements and external transaction records
  • Prepare and distribute daily Profit & Loss (P&L) and pricing reports
  • Manage electronic funds transfers and clearing transactions
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis for small to medium-scale projects
  • Support process improvement and business optimization initiatives
  • Partner with IT teams to enhance trade capture and reporting platforms
  • Develop ad-hoc reports using SQL and Power BI
  • Create and automate Excel-based reports, including macro-enabled spreadsheets

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Power BI
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in SOX-compliant environments
  • Knowledge of financial markets, trade lifecycle, and risk metrics
  • Experience with financial reconciliations and reporting
  • Familiarity with trade capture systems and financial operations workflows
