Business Analyst

This particular role will be assisting in integration and migration efforts over the next year, and ideal candidate will have experience in supporting complex company acquisition work across both the business and technology units. There will be heavy gap analysis work at the start that is data driven, with more integration work towards the end of the project. Someone that is experienced and can jump into to a fast-paced environment would be ideal. Will be a year+ long contract, and will have potential for extension for additional project work later on.
The Business Analyst works with business partners across multiple functions to collect, analyze, design and document business requirements for multiple projects of moderate to high complexity. This position is responsible for formulating and defining systems modifications and enhancements based on both user needs and broad knowledge and understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements, and ensuring they are thoroughly tested. The BA will be part of a highly functioning team to align technology solutions with business strategies. We are looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to be a part of this team supporting our customers and users.
Essential Functions
- Collect, analyze, design and clearly document business and functional requirements of moderate to high complexity, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes, in an Agile environment
- Formulate and define systems modifications and enhancements based on both user needs and broad knowledge/understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements
- Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
- Manages application testing; develops test plans, test scripts and completes acceptance testing for projects of varying degrees of complexity and system upgrades
- Coordinate communication on application issues between internal customers and external vendors/IT partners as part of the project implementation
- Creates and manages implementation plan for production roll out of new products or processes
- Develop, document and enhance system processes, as appropriate
- Creates and updates training and administration documentation
- Identify ways to increase adoption and customer satisfaction

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Since this is going to be evaluating a book of business from both sides of the house and combining/mapping over time, they need to have some sort of understanding of banking/financial services. Need to be someone that is a self-starter, that knows what questions to ask when there are things coming up but may need help on where to go to get that information. Looking for someone that can be polished and professional when interacting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Someone comfortable with a fast-paced environment that is experienced in having responsibility for complex projects.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required
- Advanced knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle is preferred
- Experience working on large scale projects is preferred
- Experience with and enthusiasm for Agile methodology is preferred
- Experience with Software Testing is required
- Knowledge of wealth management or banking systems is preferred
- Strong customer-service orientation
- Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and presentation
- Effective ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Ability to communicate in user-friendly language to both technical and non-technical end-users
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at a time and remain calm under pressure

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
