Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced TMS Application Engineer with hands-on expertise in Toptech TMS7, strong Linux administration, database management, and oil & gas terminal operations.
The role will be responsible for end-to-end support, configuration, and optimization of Terminal Management System (TMS7) ensuring high availability and smooth operation of terminal business processes such as loading, inventory management, and access control.
Key Responsibilities
1. TMS Application Support
- Provide L2/L3 support for Toptech TMS7 application
- Monitor and troubleshoot:
- Transaction failures (loading, allocations, BOL issues)
- Driver/vehicle authorization issues
- Inventory discrepancies
- Products, tanks, inventory allocations
- Customers, carriers, drivers, vehicles
- Support day-to-day terminal operations (truck/rail/pipeline loading)
2. Linux System Administration
- Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers hosting TMS
- Perform:
- System monitoring (CPU, memory, disk utilization)
- Log analysis and troubleshooting
- Patch management and upgrades
- Manage application services and resolve server-level incidents
- Handle user access, permissions, and security compliance
3. Database Management
- Manage TMS database (SQL / Oracle / PostgreSQL environment)
- Perform:
- Data validation for inventory and transactions
- Query tuning and performance optimization
- Data corrections with proper audit controls
- Support reporting and data extraction for business and audit requirements
4. Oil & Gas Business Support
- Terminal loading operations (truck, rail, pipeline)
- Inventory management and stock reconciliation
- Custody transfer and gain/loss tracking
- Ensure accurate system mapping of physical operations
5. Integration & Interface Support
- Manage integrations with:
- SCADA / control systems
- Load rack controllers (e.g., Multiload)
- ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Monitor interfaces and troubleshoot data flow issues
- Handle reprocessing of failed transactions
6. Incident & Problem Management
- Handle critical incidents (P1/P2) for terminal operations
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
- Ensure adherence to SLA and minimize downtime
7. Security & Compliance
- Manage user access and role-based permissions
- Ensure compliance with:
- SOX / audit requirements
- Data security policies
- Maintain audit logs and system traceability
8. Documentation & Training
- SOPs, runbooks, configuration documents
- Provide training and support to terminal users
- Support audit and governance activities
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Toptech TMS7 / Terminal Automation Systems (TAS)
- Hands-on experience in Linux (RHEL administration)
- Strong knowledge of SQL / Oracle databases
- Experience in application support (L2/L3 environment)
Domain Expertise
- Oil & Gas / Midstream / Terminal operations experience
- Knowledge of:
- Loading operations
- Inventory and allocation management
- Custody transfer processes

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / IT / Computer Science
