As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform clinical and administrative duties in the MedStar Health Settings consistent with policies & procedures. Works under the supervision of a physician and performs patient intake, standing orders or protocols, venipuncture, laboratorytestingand patient follow up. Will also administer oral, IM, SC, or intradermal medications when ordered by a provider, afterdemonstratingcompetency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or designee. Clinical Care Specialists (CCSs) certified as Radiologic Technologists also perform andtransmitX-ray diagnostic images. This position asappropriate inthe medical record and supportsoptimalpatient flow.

Primary Duties:
- Acquiresordered images including evaluating these images for technical quality. Sends images toappropriate destinationsfor interpretation.
- Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order.Performs preventative maintenance regularly.
- Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.Transports patients to radiographic room and prepares andmaintainsroom.
- Performs radiographic examinations. Prepares written documentation such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Requests and orderssupply.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the State of Maryland.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Associate degreepreferred.
This position has a hiring range of : USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 /Hr.
