Lead Data Center Technician - Enterprise GPU Deployment Environment

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Center Technicians with 1-5+ years of leadership or management experience in a data center environment. This team will be supporting large-scale GPU deployments and advanced troubleshooting within an enterprise data center.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Oversee daily workflow, task assignments, and quality assurance across all deployment and troubleshooting activities.
  • Ensure adherence to data center safety, security, and operational standards.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Support troubleshooting and maintenance of large GPU server deployments in an enterprise environment.
  • Remove network cabling as part of decommissioning activities.
  • Run, label, stage, and organize power and network cabling.
  • Perform DBD (Drive Bay Device) removal; no scanning required.
  • Prepare, install, diagnose, troubleshoot, replace, and decommission hardware following established procedures and guidance from senior data center leadership.
  • Stage, set up, and execute basic hardware startups and shutdowns using written instructions, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct physical audits of data center assets and maintain accurate documentation.

Monitoring & Systems Support

  • Monitor systems for equipment failures, performance issues, and error messages.
  • Respond to program or system alerts by identifying and resolving issues or escalating appropriately.
  • Assist programmers and systems analysts with testing and debugging new programs.
  • Use spreadsheet and software tools to load, manipulate, and report on operational data.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Foundational knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in computer programming, IT, or related field.
  • Previous experience working in Microsoft data centers (MSFT experience strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with GDCU ticketing systems.
  • Background as a Dell or HP technician, especially in enterprise or hyperscale environments.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Must be available to work on both Red Oak A-Side and B-Side during daytime shifts.

Intermediate to Advanced, depending on experience and technical depth.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
