  • Vendor Management: Experience negotiating and managing vendor contracts
  • Retail Technology Knowledge: Understanding of POS systems, retail hardware/software, and store tech
  • Strong exp. of hardware certifications, pilots, and large-scale rollouts.
  • Hands-on understanding of how store devices and applications connect (POS, handhelds, printers, back-office systems).
  • Technically grounded background (e.g., former engineer/developer or highly technical lead).
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and multiple vendors.
  • Manage the store hardware lifecycle roadmap, including OS strategy and standards, in partnership with architecture teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle Management: Track EOS/EOES, plan multi-year hardware refresh strategies
  • Device Certification & Testing: Lead validation, compliance, and lab testing
  • Hardware Deployment: Govern rollout plans, schedules, and execution
  • Project Management: Lead large-scale hardware refresh & rollout programs
  • Procurement Management: Handle BOMs, vendors, logistics, and delivery
  • Vendor Management: Own contracts, SOWs, and vendor performance
  • Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project/workstream plans
  • Stakeholder Management: Define scope, align with business & technical teams
  • Risk Management: Identify, track, and escalate risks/issues/dependencies
  • Executive Reporting: Provide status updates, risks, and decision insights
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with business, operations, and third parties
  • Team Leadership: Oversee internal teams and external partners
  • Process Improvement: Drive optimization and capture lessons learned
